FOTUNECHIP

CUSTOMIZABLE, CHIP-INTEGRATED PHOTONIC EMITTERS USING NEW 3D ENCAPSULATION PROCESSES

This ambitious project focuses on industrial research to develop efficient and high quality LED diodes by using organic materials instead of rare earths. It involves the use of additive manufacturing techniques and an assembly with advanced optical properties. It has a strategic focus in energy, environmental, geopolitical and economic terms, with a potential international market.

The synergies between collaborators will enable flexible and adaptable production of heterogeneous photonic systems, thus strengthening the integrated photonics ecosystem in Spain.

MOTION

DEVELOPMENT OF A TOOL BASED ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE THAT ALLOWS ORGANIZATIONS TO EFFICIENTLY PLAN THEIR TEAMS.

The main objective is the development of a tool that applies AI to solve part of the internal processes of the companies, being the allocation of resources to each potential project the main decision variable for its viability.

The manual work in making this type of decisions, and the scarce intervention of optimized data cause that many of these projects end up with cost overruns and underestimates, therefore, it is essential the research in the application of AI for the resolution of this problem. to determine whether the projects to be carried out are approved or not, based on technical and economic criteria and that once approved, the allocation of resources is done in an optimized way. Thus, the main objective of MOTION is to apply artificial intelligence based on data processing and optimization algorithms to increase the effectiveness of companies in project management.

HIDROSTORE

NEW METAL SOLUTIONS FOR HIGH-PRESSURE HYDROGEN STORAGE USING ADDITIVE LASER DEPOSITION TECHNOLOGY PROCESS

The project seeks to develop a technological solution for high-pressure hydrogen storage, especially in applications such as automotive. It uses metallic materials and complex geometries to optimize the weight/volume ratio through a chamberless laser additive manufacturing process. The aim is to increase the surface area and ensure safety under the influence of hydrogen. The project, carried out alone by ICUBE, includes materials research, structural design and a flexible manufacturing process to incorporate the technology in robotic arms.

Duration: 01/02/2023 to 31/12/2024.

ENTITY: CDTI

VALORIZA 3D

RESEARCH ON THE APPLICATION OF ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MATERIALS WITH FINITE ELEMENTS FOR THE VALORIZATION AND ADAPTATION OF END-OF-LIFE INDUSTRIAL PARTS.

The VALORIZA3D project investigates the application of additive manufacturing and material characterization to adapt industrial parts out of use, such as steel gears in wind turbines. A deposited multilayer structure will be compared with a traditionally manufactured tooth in an empirical investigation carried out exclusively by ICUBE.

Duration from 07/15/2022 to 06/30/2024.

ENTITY: IDEPA

FAIB3D

RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATION OF LARGE-FORMAT ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CAPITAL GOODS INDUSTRY

Research and development of large-scale additive manufacturing

large-scale additive manufacturing technologies for the industrial capital goods sector, with the objective of evaluating their future integration for the replacement or incorporation of operational parts. The project focuses on the implementation of large-scale 3D printing in industrial components using technical polymeric materials.

Duration from 01/02/2023 to 31/12/2024.
